These photos look like I’ve saturated them within an inch of their life – not so. That’s the June sunshine for you!
This month has been a lot about being lazy and convenient. As the summer season has hit, I’ve been rushing around from place to place – to various parties, sessions, friends houses, a weekend away – so my usually very high maintenance routine has slackened a bit, I just can’t keep up that level of prissiness when I’m all over the place wearing the same t-shirt for 3 days in a row. Even so, I still have a few bits I’ve been loving throughout the month.
Before continuing, please visit friend’s blog. She’s mom now and just published a review on kids outdoor playhouse.
Sugarpill Sparkle Baby Palette: This is such a love it or hate it item. I’ve been absolutely loving this, it’s just so beautiful to look at, and the colours are to die for! I’ve been wanting this since it was released so I was so excited to finally get my hands on it. It’s full of pastel cuteness and it’s beautifully pigmented. For a very in-depth review and a look at all the colours, you can see the full post I did on it here!
Nivea Q10 In-Shower Body Moisturiser*: This has been a saviour for me as I’ve been getting lazier! It’s exactly the same principle as a conditioner for your hair. Wash your body, then apply this all over and leave it for a bit. Generally during this time I’ll wash my face, trying to avoid washing the conditioner off my hair/body (I usually just leave them on at the same time). When it’s off, my skin feels so soft and silky it’s actually amazing. Especially recommended with freshly shaved legs. You’ll feel like such a goddess.
P20 SPF30 Spray on Sun Protection: I really love P20. I’m also very prone to burning to a crisp. This stuff is an absolute life saver! It feels very moisturising and isn’t sticky like a traditional suncream. You spray it on and rub it in, and you’re good to go for at least 10 hours. It’s totally clear as well, won’t go streaky, and is water resistant. I never burn with this stuff on, and to me, that’s a testament to a good suncream, considering I could easily burn despite layers of the stuff!
Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Permanent Taupe: I love this colour so much. It’s a beautiful purple/grey/brown (uh, taupe) shade, and it’s so versatile! It’s completely matte, another bonus in my books. You can wear it as a base, or just smudged all over the lid, or even as a lipstick! I did a whole post about that, you can check that out here! It’s so pigmented and I’m completely in love with the colour. Definitely worth picking up.
Montagne Jeunesse Brazilian Mud Fabric Masque*: Back to the lazy theme here. As written about in this post, I’ve become obsessed with face masks in the past while. They just make such an incredible difference to my skin! What I love about this one, is it’s just a sheet in a packet. No messy application or spending ages washing it off, you just pop it on, look like a monster for a while, take it off again and rinse. The avocado oil and acai berries leave your skin soft and hydrated. Fabric masks are also great on long haul flights, which can really dry out your skin!
